Spanish media outlets such as “La Nueva España” and Libertad Digital have recently reported on the BACSI 2026 (Connected, Sustainable, and Smart Air Base) technology demonstration event held at the Los Llanos Air Base in Albacete. At the event, Olmar had a prominent presence as one of the companies with the greatest potential in the Asturian aerospace and defense sector, always at the forefront of European military innovation.

The event featured more than 80 booths distributed across themed hangars, including one for Asturias Hub Defensa. Its director, Carolina Díaz, highlighted this alliance of companies, technology centers, and government agencies that, together with Olmar, are leading progress in cutting-edge military technology as a “reflection of the diversity and complementarity of the regional ecosystem.”

Olmar, SVMAC, Idonial, Galeo, SR7, Satec, Pixels Hub, Invicsa, and SBP are creating a disruptive and dynamic cooperation framework aligned with the sector’s most demanding challenges, integrating terrestrial robotics, unmanned systems, digitalization, and advanced manufacturing to develop technological solutions that enhance the efficiency, autonomy, and sustainability of future military infrastructure.

Taking a practical approach, as described by Díaz for “El Referente“, Olmar has seized the opportunity provided by BACSI to showcase various components developed using cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies, highlighting their application in advanced industrial processes and their contribution to flexibility and production optimization.

Through its participation in this conference, Olmar reinforces its commitment to innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the advanced technology ecosystem, actively contributing to the development of solutions that will shape the future of the aerospace and defense sector in Europe.
